I use to wear them...when I was 12!!! But you can get nice ones at the drug store. Just make sure they look professionally done when you put them on...if not, take them right off.
But fake nails are bad in general. Did you ever notice people who wear fake nails, their natural nails get yellow and brittle?? Well sometimes it gets worse. If fungus gets under there, your screwed. You'll have to wear fake nails for the rest of your life.Fake french nails?

As a manicurist, i have to say that it's never good to glue a nail form over your natural nail. Too often one gets tired of them peels them off and takes half the nail off with the glue.
Find a reliable manicurist, not one of those Asian places, and have a manicure every 2 weeks. You can grow your own beautiful nails with a little help!!
You have to get the ones with the really tough glue, and don't bite them like I do.... they don't taste very nice.
Don't get cheap ones either, they break way too quickly and you will find picking things up with your fingers will be reaaaaalllyyyy hard.
no they never look as good as getting acrylics done at a salon! normally just look cheap and tacky!
getting acrylic tips at a salon is a better idea. doing them yourself is too messy
I wore some, and they just feel really weird. Then again, I'm not used to wearing fake long nails.
